I’ve started a Patreon!
I recently started a Patreon account to make it easier for my fans to contribute to my work. Patreon is a platform that allows supporters the opportunity to give financial contributions on a monthly basis.
As an artist, financial stability (especially during COVID), is somewhat unheard of. Gigs come and go, some months are heavy, other dry. So having a group of patrons will help build consistency, allowing me the space and time to write, record and perform.
To take a risk and pursue a life in creativity and art, has always been an uncertainty. And to feel that adventure burning in every cell, truly, uncertainty is at it’s core; the nucleus. As an artist I now embrace this.
Looking back at the history of the artist, we see how many were supported through a community of patrons. This love for art, and generosity, made it possible for creators to make their mark on society.
How your money will help:
Promoting the Canvas and Color album is the main focus for the coming months. It’s time consuming and expensive. This entails marketing, national radio mailing campaign, video production, merchandise, interviews, online performances, website management, social media, etc.
In addition to this, I have roughly 2 more albums worth of songs ready to go, that I am eager to get to work on. I want to keep a steady stream of new content coming. I’m recording from home which cuts the studio cost out. But the post-production (mixing and mastering) is still an expensive and important component.
Also, I have new songs in the works! I’ve been in an active writing mode during this COVID-19 thing, and I like to put some time towards that. Though recording finished songs takes priority.
I have future plans sketched out to expand my writing into instrumental music for percussion ensemble and strings, film score, and musical theater. These projects are much further out and dependent on funding. Though some planning has started.
Any support I receive, whether it’s donations, sales, or performances (not many right now) will go directly towards the promotion and production costs mentioned above.
Thank you for considering being a part of this!
