NEW MUSIC VIDEO: Midnight Callin’
Here is the official music video for Midnight Callin’
Midnight Callin' is a song I recorded with a past project (Weeping Willow, The Cuckoo Bees), but decided to do again. This time simpler and more intimate.
It’s about:
‘Late night drunken phone calls to your past, casting the memories in a golden light. It was a golden age; the fire of youth.
That fire and truth diminished years ago, and I’m still here, in the same town. I never thought I’d still be here, caught up in a web of plans and dreams. I had big plans. I’d be living a fast and important life in a big city somewhere, full of love and adventure; a conqueror of dreams.
But those dreams now leave a sweet sting of the past. Remember the freedom and clarity of being young? Remember being wild and fearless? We were invincible, yet easy to leave an imprint on. We thought we knew it all. We thought we knew love.
I never thought I’d be here.’
A big thanks to my friend Steven Yasgar who filmed this out in Denver, Colorado.
