Life after an album release…. (news & updates)
"(Coffman's music) is pleasant and sunny.. It’s also damnably intelligent, even magical, with an undercurrent interweaving dark and light. The lyrics are inventive and poetic, sometimes in a Dylanesque (Bob) way."
-Richard Thomas, The Duluth Weekly Reader
What does life look like after an album release?
So far, Canvas and Color has received some great feedback! Richard Thomas with the Duluth Weekly Reader shared the sweetest write-up, comparing my music to good ol' Bob Dylan. Will with WTIP Community Radio in Grand Marais invited me on for a livestream performance and interview. We are still in the thick of a national college radio campaign (see below). So far, Canvas and Color has charted in the top 30 on KSMC Radio, and has been added/played in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Nebraska!
In 2021, the focus is on creating and sharing more music videos, continuing to promote Canvas and Color to stations and publications, and starting the process for recording my second full length album.
I'm excited and ready for what's ahead... I set up a Patreon account for those interested in supporting these efforts through monthly contributions (I'll explain more if you click the link). I'm also taking donations through my website. So if you want to be a part of this adventure (and get a tax write-off) I would be most grateful.
NEW MUSIC VIDEO: WEEPING WILLOW
Weeping Willow is one of two songs off of my latest album, Canvas and Color, that are about my late Gramps.
A big thanks to my friend Steven Yasgar who filmed this out in Denver, Colorado.
NATIONAL COLLEGE RADIO CAMPAIGN
We are still plugging away and sending albums out to stations!
Thank you to KSMC radio in Moorehead for the interview & WMSE in Milwaukee for the heavy rotation, along with all the stations that have added me to their library. Getting Canvas and Color out there, one state at a time!
